Rare Opportunities

We had a pregnant model in the life drawing group this week! I imagine it will be a while before I have that opportunity again. The poses were shorter, so I felt like I ended up with three good starts. Some drawings I want to work on after the session. I don't feel that way with these, although I wish I had been able to get them closer to a "complete" appearance.

To me, pregnancy is one of the craziest things, even though that's how we all get here. It sounds like science fiction. It's probably cliché, but it is an amazing, beautiful process. I am grateful for the opportunity to draw a pregnant woman and the other unusual, rare opportunities that have come up in my life!
