Painting or Drawing

A lot of people have called this or other chalk pastel works I have done paintings. I call it a drawing because it's a dry medium I manipulate with my hands instead of a brush. "Painting" doesn't offend me. If someone said, "She made a nice painting," that wouldn't offend me either. It's not how I identify, but many of my favorite people are women, so I would be honored. I would, of course, respect anyone's preferred pronouns.

Since I haven't made hardly any abstract art, I was fortunate to have this beautiful painting behind the model. I was also pretty pleased with how the dress pattern turned out with a few simple strokes of the pastels.
